About the Opportunity

In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in defining innovative solutions that secure customers' key business imperatives.

As our Cloud Security Specialist, you will be responsible for evangelizing industry-leading cloud security solutions, solidifying Palo Alto Networks as a customer's cybersecurity partner of choice.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with account teams to develop and recommend customer solutions within assigned specialization areas.
  • Present to customers as our expert at all levels of the customer hierarchy, from practitioner to senior leadership.
  • Support effective responses to RFIs/RFPs by collaborating and assisting.
  • Lead customer demonstrations showcasing unique value propositions.
  • Scope and lead Proof of Value (PoV) projects for prospective customers and partners based on best practices to ensure technical wins in assigned opportunities.
  • Drive high technical validation and PoV win rates within your assigned specialization area.
  • Highlight product alignment with customer requirements and differentiation.
  • Architect solutions to strengthen and simplify customers' security postures.
  • Accelerate technical validation of proposed solutions within your specialization.
  • Document High-Level Design and Key Use Cases to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks Solutions.
  • Help customers build and develop further their services around Prisma Cloud.
  • Lead conversations about industry trends and emerging changes to the security landscape.
  • Position Palo Alto Networks or Partner delivered services as appropriate to ensure proper implementation and value realization of Palo Alto Networks solutions.
  • Initiate projects to improve individual team performance.
  • Implement organizational policies & help others adopt.
  • Act as a conduit for customer feedback to Product Management, Technical Marketing, competitor intelligence, and R&D to create requirements and deliver product features for our customers.
Key Qualifications

6+ years of technical sales experience or equivalent is required. You should have hands-on experience using IaC software tools (CloudFormation, Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, GCP Cloud Deployment Manager etc) and CI/CD tools (IDEs, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.). Experience with Alicloud, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform and Oracle Cloud configuration and administration of security features and services (including identity and access management, networking, firewalls, encryption) is highly preferred.

Deep experience in one or more cloud security areas such as Shift Left, CSPM, CWP, KSPM, CIEM, DSPM, AI-SPM Background in security domain or cloud security is highly preferred.

Understanding of container and container orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift is required. This is a field sales position where travel requirements may be necessary to support in-person customer meetings.
