System Administration and Development Role

This position involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of systems and applications to ensure stability and efficient incident resolution.

You will work closely with engineering, database, and network teams to improve monitoring tools, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.

This includes managing critical incidents, analyzing downtime, and supporting regulatory compliance. You will also work with automation tools to streamline cloud infrastructure management and system provisioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for production environments within a Unix-based setting.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to resolve issues, enhance system efficiency, and scale key processes.
  • Automate operational tasks using tools like Terraform and Jenkins.
  • Lead complex projects involving multiple teams, ensuring timely delivery and technical excellence.
  • Monitor application performance using Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
  • Provision and manage public cloud infrastructure using GCP or AWS.
  • Leverage container orchestration with Kubernetes at a basic level.
  • Support SAP HANA database administration in coordination with database teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Java web application development.
  • Familiarity with operating system internals, file system structures, and machine-level operations.
  • Experience working in 24x7 enterprise production environments.
  • Proven expertise in cloud provisioning and management, preferably with GCP.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Vault.
  • Basic knowledge of SAP HANA database administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
