Subsea Connection Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Subsea Connection Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and developing subsea mechanical/clamp and hydraulic connectors.

Your primary focus will be on collaborating with internal colleagues and ESP's to ensure that all designs meet applicable international industry standards.

You will also be responsible for arranging design reviews, providing documentation on manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation of designed items.

In addition, you will partner with peers and other functions to meet overall Company goals in terms of quality, budget consumption, and timely delivery.

Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing subsea mechanical/clamp and hydraulic connectors.
  • Collaborating with internal colleagues and ESP's to ensure designs meet international industry standards.
  • Arranging design reviews and providing documentation on manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation of designed items.
  • Partnering with peers and other functions to meet Company goals.
  • Ensuring support during Test and Assembly activities.
  • Owning design reviews of assigned scope, including materials, manufacturing, and product safety/environmental reviews.
  • Communicating with Customers in both Portuguese and English.
Requirements:
  • MSc or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Proficiency in communicating with Customers in both Portuguese and English.
  • Experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably with direct exposure to subsea equipment.
  • Expertise developed on design of subsea connection systems.
  • Ability to work autonomously and comfortably within a global multicultural environment.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player attitude and inclusiveness, combined with good communication skills.
  • Ability of coordinating internal and/or external contributors.
