An Engineering Role at Weatherford

This role involves applying standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform tasks or jobs for a variety of products and services. Depending on their level of knowledge & experience, the Field Engineer's role will receive direct supervision in support of their duties and assignments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining high standards of corporate governance and ensuring activities comply with policies, management systems, laws, regulations, standards, and industry practices;
  • Familiarizing themselves with Quality policies and supporting compliance and improvement of Management Systems;
  • Participating in daily operations and safety meetings, toolbox talks, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA);
  • Ensuring timely reporting of issues and maintaining equipment and work areas in safe, presentable condition;
  • Monitoring data to recommend services and performing job planning, mobilization, execution, and documentation;
  • Being available on a 24-hour call basis and managing client relationships for repeat business;
  • Oversight of inventory, cooperation with R&M for failure reports, contribution to root cause analyses, and mentoring field operation crew as needed;
  • Senior-level guidance as technical advisor, engineering checks on client location, and oversight of installation of complex equipment.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required, along with 0-1 year's experience in the oil & gas industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong fundamentals in mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics, as well as mathematics, basic physics, and chemistry.
