Phlebotomist Floater: Make a Difference in People's Lives

This role supports the Blood Center by collecting blood donations safely from volunteer donors in a compassionate and professional manner. The anticipated salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize your job experience and knowledge to provide exceptional donor experiences.
  • Ability to utilize all computer systems to process donors through their donor process (screening and whole blood phlebotomy, and automated collections when appropriate).
  • Take personal responsibility for donor safety, complying with all Blood Center standard procedures and other regulatory standards.
  • Set-up all supplies and equipment, completion of daily QC, and assure all equipment and supplies are available before the collection event.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification is strongly preferred.
  • 6 months' experience in a Blood Center or other Healthcare environment is strongly preferred.
  • 1 Year of Experience In Customer Service is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to effectively interact with diverse people and communicate (verbal, written, and listening) fluently in English.
  • Proficient with basic computer skills and office tools, such as Microsoft Office, and ability to use software relevant to the position.
  • Ability to solve problems and make decisions, seeking guidance as necessary.
