Patient Care Specialist

This is a challenging role that involves working closely with patients to help them recover from injuries or illnesses. As a Patient Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Responsibilities:- Teach patients exercises to improve mobility, strength, and coordination
- Train patients on using assistive devices such as crutches, canes, and walkers
- Demonstrate the use of physical agents and electrotherapy modalities
- Provide cost-effective care in accordance with departmental guidelines
- Document patient information accurately and efficiently
- Communicate effectively with supervising PT regarding patient concerns and progress
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting
- Ability to train and mentor others
- Ability to work at various locations per diem
- Must be able to provide safe, compassionate, and competent physical therapy treatments
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification
- PTA - Physical Therapist Assistant licensure
- Associate's Degree successful completion of clinical affiliations
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic. You will be required to lift and carry 40-50 lbs, stand and walk frequently, and transport patients.
Frequent kneeling, bending, and squatting may be required. CPR skills are also necessary.
