Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Job Overview
  • Lead a team of machine learning engineers building next-generation personalization systems. You'll balance technical work with team leadership, driving excellence and business impact.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 3-5 machine learning engineers building personalization systems
  • Architecting multi-stage ranking systems (retrieval → ranking → re-ranking)
  • Defining technical roadmaps aligned with business objectives
  • Driving improvements in model quality, system reliability, and development velocity
  • Establishing best practices for model development and deployment
  • Partnering with product, data science, and engineering teams
  • Contributing hands-on to critical model development (50% coding)
Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor engineers and drive technical decisions
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and project delivery
Requirements
  • 7+ years in machine learning engineering, 2+ years leading technical teams
  • Deep expertise in large-scale personalization systems
  • Experience with modern machine learning architectures (two-tower, transformer-based, graph neural networks)
  • Strong system design skills for machine learning infrastructure
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
