Climate Mitigation Strategy Consultant

This consultancy aims to support clients in developing their climate mitigation strategies by providing expert guidance on how to design and implement effective interventions.

• The selected consultant will provide strategic advice on how to leverage landscape initiatives and corporate partnerships to achieve climate mitigation goals, while enabling companies to make credible claims about their GHG-related and non-GHG related climate mitigation efforts.

• The scope of the consultancy includes:

  1. Developing a guidance document for landscape initiatives outlining best practices for designing and implementing climate mitigation interventions, including key information on credible carbon certification standards and climate impact verifiers.

  2. Providing training for clients and stakeholders on the guidance described above.

  3. Supporting clients in building out their corporate services related to climate mitigation at a landscape level, including advising on analytic approaches to leverage existing frameworks and highlighting co-benefits of climate mitigation interventions across other areas.

  4. Delivering a report containing recommendations for the role and scope of services provided by clients, a roadmap for claim validation centred around the co-benefits and landscape contextualisation of climate mitigation interventions, and advice on how to position themselves in this space based on market research and client needs.

• The deliverables of this consultancy will include:

  • A comprehensive guidance document for landscape initiatives outlining best practices for designing and implementing climate mitigation interventions.

  • Training materials for clients and stakeholders on the guidance described above.

  • A report containing recommendations for the role and scope of services provided by clients, a roadmap for claim validation centred around the co-benefits and landscape contextualisation of climate mitigation interventions, and advice on how to position themselves in this space based on market research and client needs.

  • Presentation of findings and recommendations to clients.
