About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Elevator Technician II to join our team at Otis College of Art and Design. As an Elevator Technician II, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and installations of elevators and escalators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubricating moving parts, inspecting electrical and mechanical components, and replacing worn-out parts.
- Repair and replace faulty electrical and mechanical components, including motors, gears, and control systems.
- Install new elevators and escalators, including electrical and mechanical components.
- Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to resolve complex technical issues and improve maintenance processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in elevator technology preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in elevator maintenance, repair, or installation.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including motors, gears, and control systems.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
