Senior Automation Developer

The successful candidate will create repeatable systems to streamline operations and deliver more efficient results.

Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and implement automations in n8n using Node.js and Python, transforming common workflows into scalable templates.
  • Integrate third-party platforms by connecting REST APIs, webhooks, and OAuth connections.
  • Embed AI capabilities using OpenAI/ChatGPT and other Large Language Model (LLM) APIs to enhance intelligence, summarization, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, demonstrate solutions, and transfer knowledge.
  • Operate, monitor, and improve existing automations: debug failures, refine prompts, and optimize performance and cost.
  • Develop a library of best practices and maintain a template repository for the team to leverage.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automation and software development.
  • Proficiency in Node.js and Python, preferably in production environments.
  • Familiarity with low-code tools like n8n, Make, or Zapier.
  • Real-world experience with OpenAI/LLM, including prompt design, embeddings, and cost management.
  • Strong API integration skills: REST, GraphQL, OAuth2, webhooks, JSON, error handling.
  • Basic understanding of version control and DevOps concepts: Git, CI/CD, containerization.
  • A consultative mindset to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to stakeholders.
