About the Role

Kokku Games is seeking a highly skilled Senior Gameplay Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust gameplay systems that enhance the overall player experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gameplay System Design: Collaborate with designers, artists, and other engineers to implement gameplay features that meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
  • Engineering Excellence: Champion engineering excellence at Kokku Games and with our clients' development efforts, ensuring that our games are built with the latest technologies and best practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize sound software engineering principles, design patterns, and performance optimization techniques to solve complex engineering problems and identify potential risks during the development process.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that gameplay systems are integrated seamlessly into the game, meeting the needs of both players and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in game development with a strong engineering background.
  • Shipped Games: A proven track record of shipping two or more games and experience with multiplatform development.
  • Programming Skills: Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C++ or C#.
  • Game Engine Experience: Experience developing gameplay systems for previous projects and familiarity with Unreal Engine (UE4 or UE5), Unity, and other proprietary engines.
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, technical insight, excellent communication skills, and accountability to consistently meet and exceed performance expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Console Experience: Experience with consoles like PS4/PS5 and Xbox One/Series X.
