Remote Cobol Programmer Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cobol Programmer to provide technical support for a client in the consulting, digital transformation, technology, and engineering services industry.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Cobol, RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400, as well as strong knowledge of legacy systems and AS/400 technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, maintain, and enhance applications written in Cobol on IBM iSeries (AS/400)
- Support business-critical applications using RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, and DB2/400
- Design and maintain display files (DSPF) and reporting files (PRTF)
- Debug and resolve issues in batch and interactive programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Proficiency in Cobol development on IBM i / AS/400 and DB2/400 and SQL
- Strong hands-on experience in RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE
- Experience in creating and maintaining display files (DSPF) and printer files (PRTF)
- Understanding of job control, batch job processing, and CL programming
This role requires remote work from anywhere in Brazil. Proficiency in English is mandatory for communication with the client.
The ideal candidate will have exposure to accounting systems/processes and integration systems and data flow between platforms.
