Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team.

About the Role
  • Maintain a proactive approach to safety awareness at all times.
  • Repair and maintain a variety of pumps and rotating equipment, including centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, positive displacement, reciprocating, and other types of equipment.
  • Safely load, unload, and move equipment as needed using cranes or forklifts.

The ideal candidate will have experience in pump and rotating equipment repairs, as well as field service work. They will also possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to read sectional and machine drawings and comprehend Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals.

Key Responsibilities
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience in pump and rotating equipment repairs, as well as field service work
  • Ability to read sectional and machine drawings; Read and comprehend Original Equipment Manufacturer manuals
  • Disassembly, inspection, and evaluation of machine failure modes; Ability to write a detailed evaluation report identifying all necessary repairs and/or replacement parts needed
  • Assembly, pneumatic pressure testing of assembled equipment, painting of finished repair and final inspection
  • Field Service Work - Removal and Instillation of equipment, shaft alignment, seal changes, and preventative maintenance
  • Safely use hand, power, pneumatic and hydraulic tools
  • Familiarity/some experience manual lathes, milling machines and other typical machine shop equipment
  • Experience with Pneumatic and Hydrostatic testing of parts and equipment
  • Experience with Mechanical seals preferred including, but not limited to ability to read and understand mechanical seal drawings, mechanical seal removal, installation, and pneumatic pressure testing when necessary
  • Ability to properly use various types of precision measuring equipment
  • Experience and ability to safely use lifting devices such as cranes, forklifts, and rigging
  • Welding knowledge, skills, and experience preferred
