Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will oversee and support the daily operations of a repair shop, ensuring customers are satisfied and that repairs are completed to specified standards.

  • Ensure all work on aircraft components is performed in accordance with Part 145 and OEM requirements.
  • Repair and inspect aviation components, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and manufacturer's technical data providers.
  • Focus on creating a quality culture by monitoring compliance and implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Provide accurate quotes and estimates for repair work to customers, considering factors such as time, materials, and labor costs.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and regulatory agencies during audits or visits, ensuring transparency and resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements:
  • A valid repair license and/or certification.
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in MRO or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, with a focus on developing and maintaining strong relationships with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, driving business growth and profitability.
  • Solid knowledge of local employee relations laws and workplace safety regulations, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks.
  • Experience with employee recruitment, performance management, and inventory control.
Desirable Skills:
  • General computing skills - Microsoft Office Suite, with proficiency in spreadsheet analysis and reporting.
  • Inventory management/purchasing of aircraft parts, with a focus on cost savings and supply chain optimization.
  • Effective communication with leadership teams, corporate HQ, and MRO organizations, building strong partnerships and driving results.
  • Strong business acumen, communication, and negotiation skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and supplier relationships.
  • Resilience and creativity when faced with challenges, with a proven ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
