We are seeking a skilled procurement professional to manage purchasing activities for our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers for components and materials
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors to ensure favorable terms
- Purchase Order Processing:
- Generate and process purchase orders according to production schedules and inventory requirements
- Monitor order status and coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
- Cost Management:
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery conditions to optimize procurement costs
- Conduct regular cost analysis and identify opportunities for savings
- Inventory Control:
- Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchases to prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Quality Assurance:
- Work with QA department to ensure all purchased materials meet quality standards
- Manage non-conformance issues with suppliers
- Market Research:
- Stay informed about market trends affecting component availability and pricing
- Anticipate supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate procurement records and update the ERP system
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, costs, and supplier performance
