Transforming Power Grids

As a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of cutting-edge technologies and simulations applied to power transformers within a dynamic global innovation environment.

  • Develop innovative solutions, products, and processes for core and shell-type transformers.
  • Lead mechanical design and oversee the manufacturing and testing of prototypes.
  • Independently manage R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery with the required quality.
  • Maintain and enhance technical standards and design tools for transformers.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and specifications, and participate in educational programs.
  • Evaluate production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support factories in troubleshooting within your area of expertise.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, proposing strategic partnerships and innovative solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable internal and external standards, procedures, and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • A master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience in R&D projects, engineering, or academic research is necessary.
  • Advanced knowledge in transformer technology is essential.
  • Proficiency in CAD modeling software (e.g., CREO, SolidWorks, SolidEdge) is required.
  • Experience with advanced numerical simulations (e.g., fluid dynamics, mechanical simulations) and tools like Ansys, Fluent, and CREO is desirable.
  • Ability to develop custom technical solutions is crucial.
  • Strong collaboration skills in international teams with excellent interpersonal abilities are necessary.
  • Fluent spoken and written English is required.
