Strategic Medical Marketing and Advocacy Lead

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will lead the development of innovative medical marketing and advocacy strategies to improve stakeholder engagement and knowledge development among healthcare professionals. This involves creating customized therapy programs, such as educational round tables, symposia, and reference center programs, to educate and advocate for innovative therapies.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Application, Compliance, and Medical Affairs, to develop a strategic program strategy aligned with business priorities and objectives.

  • Lead the creation and execution of a strategic medical marketing and advocacy plan targeting external HCPs, ensuring consistency and alignment with business goals.
  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Commercial teams to build strong relationships with internal and external speakers, identifying and nurturing key opinion leaders (KOLs), rising stars, and regional champions.
  • Oversee planning, contracting, and execution of impactful commercial advocacy activities, such as symposia, workshops, and conferences, ensuring compliance with medical and legal frameworks.
  • Develop targeted therapy content for diverse external audiences, ensuring compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Establish a global approval matrix for activities to ensure education programs comply with regulations and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess a Master's degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, or Medicine, with advanced qualifications such as a PhD, Doctorate, MBA, or marketing degree considered a plus. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience with an advanced degree (or 10-15 years with a Master's degree) in medical marketing, HCP education, or advocacy development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is required.

Key skills and qualifications include fluency in English, additional language skills a plus; proven track record of building and managing KOL networks and educational initiatives; strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in medical communications; and excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
