We are seeking a skilled and analytical professional to join our team as an Associate Credit Analyst. As a key member of our credit analysis team, you will play a vital role in leading structured finance transactions and analyzing new and existing deals rated by our organization.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals who possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for finance. As an Associate Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing transaction documents to understand transaction structure and legal, operational, and counterparty risks.

You will work closely with originators, advisors, and other transaction participants to lead virtual and in-person meetings as part of the rating analysis process. Additionally, you will present credits efficiently and accurately in rating committees and other internal analytical meetings, formulate a coherent credit rationale, and present this rationale in a persuasive fashion.

Furthermore, you will communicate rating rationales to investors and other market participants through rating reports, presentations, and meetings. You will also assist in producing timely and relevant research on specific issuers or sector-related issues that is in-depth, high-quality, informative, and focused.

Requirements
  • A minimum bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in economics, business administration, statistics, accounting, or engineering.
  • At least 2+ years of experience in Structured Finance or 3-4 years in credit analysis in similar fields.
  • Sophisticated Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills are mandatory.
  • Validated and well-developed analytical and modelling skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities in Portuguese and English. Some Spanish skills would be a plus.
  • Python programming & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a plus but not required.
