About the Role

Illumina is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance organization in Sao Paulo, Brazil. As a key member of our accounting team, you will play a critical role in supporting the growth and expansion of our business in Latin America.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with bookkeeping service providers to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly accounting close process, account balance reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and provide recommendations to management.
  • Collaborate with corporate tax, accounting, and service providers to support accurate and timely transfer pricing models, local tax filings, and other general tax compliance.
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including inventory and capital management.
  • Provide guidance on financial policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support local Commercial and Customer Services teams to address any financial questions or concerns.
  • Collaborate with corporate Accounting team to ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements.
  • Initiate and drive projects to enhance and automate internal controls over financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible accounting and finance experience, preferably in a life science or manufacturing industry.
  • CPA or local equivalent and/or Big 4/Regional Public Accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to exercise judgment and make decisions within defined procedures and policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Prior experience in SAP and BlackLine a plus.
