Lead Tax Specialist

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to oversee our tax compliance efforts in Brazil. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and regulations, as well as experience in managing tax records and archives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tax compliance obligations are met, assuming personal joint liability when necessary
  • Supervise tax compliance work, accurately calculating various taxes payable by the organization
  • Properly archive tax records, invoices, and other documents for at least 5 years
  • Evaluate potential tax costs and impacts of business decisions and contract terms
  • Identify and mitigate tax risk points, leveraging tax incentives and deductions where possible
  • Stay up-to-date on tax reforms and alerts in Brazil, advising on local business operations and tax treatments

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of Brazilian tax laws and regulations
  • Experience in managing tax records and archives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
