Job Title: Data Engineering Expert

Are you an expert in data engineering looking for a new challenge? Do you want to drive innovation and optimize data product runtime architecture within SAP Business Data Cloud?

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Expert to join our team. As a key contributor, you will be responsible for refining Spark workloads, developing monitoring strategies, leading projects to build scalable frameworks, documenting optimization strategies, and initiating AI-driven automation projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and refine Spark workloads using advanced performance tuning techniques.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive monitoring strategies to detect and diagnose performance bottlenecks.
  • Lead projects to build frameworks that facilitate scalable and elastic Business Data Cloud workloads.
  • Document advanced optimization strategies and lead training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
  • Initiate AI-driven automation projects to improve workload efficiency and scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced understanding of distributed computing concepts and their optimization in big data processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of Apache Spark architecture and execution model.
  • Proven expertise in performance profiling and advanced tuning of Spark applications.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and optimizing DataFrame operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for debugging runtime and performance issues.
  • Experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
  • Developing leadership abilities and communication skills for technical mentorship.
