Job Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Data Platform Engineer to join our Global Support team. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the Product Development Operations (PDO) organization, serving customers in both cloud and on-premise environments.

The Data Platform Engineer will be responsible for providing support for Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Aurora production and non-production databases.

Responsibilities
  1. Function as a primary contact to review, investigate, and promptly fulfill customer requests and resolve incidents in adherence to team standards, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  2. Provide setup, configuration, monitoring, and production support for platform and database environments on EC2 and RDS/Aurora platforms.
  3. Collaborate with development and support teams, develop strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor and technical point of contact.
Required Skills and Experience:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
  2. 3+ years of experience working with and troubleshooting Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, or other database technologies.
  3. Working knowledge of one or more database high availability technologies and database data replication tools.
  4. Unix/Linux general administration skills and/or Python/PowerShell scripting is an advantage.
  5. Experience working with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, and ECS/EKS, to deploy and manage applications in a cloud environment.
  6. Skills to read and interpret application server log files.
