About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in building a Ceph-focused software-defined storage solution. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, preferably with Python and C++ experience, and a proven track record of leading and managing teams in an agile development environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing their team through coaching, mentoring, and feedback. They will also demonstrate sound engineering principles by directly contributing towards their team's goals, setting reasonable schedules based on estimated workloads, and maintaining a culture of quality and engineering excellence.

As part of our global distributed team, you will work from home with up to 20% global travel for internal and external events. We offer a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and fosters growth.

Requirements
  • Software engineering background with experience in operating scale-out storage clusters on Linux in production environments.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with experience in coaching and mentoring software developers.
  • Proven track record of delivering timely, high-quality software in an agile development environment.
  • Experience with Ceph and distributed storage solutions is highly desirable.
