Job OpportunityWe seek an experienced Tax Manager to lead indirect tax compliance and advisory functions for Latin American operations. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge, practical industry experience, and can navigate complex supply chains, cross-border transactions, and tax rules impacting both product and service flows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead indirect tax compliance and advisory functions for Latin American operations.
- Manage Latin American indirect taxes such as VAT, GST, and other consumption-based taxes.
- Partner with others to ensure appropriate handling of direct taxes.
- Develop and implement internal controls and process improvements to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
- Stay up to date on legislative and regulatory changes affecting indirect taxes in all relevant jurisdictions.
- Partner with IT and Finance to enhance tax reporting and reconciliation processes.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
- 5+ years of indirect tax experience, with a focus on manufacturing and/or distribution sectors.
- Strong working knowledge of indirect tax regimes in Mexico and South American countries, particularly Brazil.
- Experience handling indirect tax issues in multi-jurisdictional supply chains, intercompany billing, and third-party logistics scenarios.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and tax engines.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with cross-functional teams and communicate complex tax issues in business terms.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and project management skills.
