- The ideal candidate will oversee fundraising programs for Lehigh's College of Health, College of Education, University Research Centers & Institutes, Vice Provost Initiatives, and corporate, foundation, and non-profit engagement
The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and partnering with teams to engage and solicit prospects, maximizing philanthropy and meeting strategic objectives. This will involve driving the strategic fundraising direction of key university priorities, including educational innovation, sponsored research, and corporate and non-profit partnerships.
In this role, you will develop, execute, and evaluate annual plans to maximize donor philanthropy, sponsored research, and other engagement initiatives. You will also provide mentorship, foster professional development, and create a collaborative, creative, and ambitious team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; Master's Degree preferred
- Eight or more years of related work experience
- Proven ability to successfully cultivate, solicit, and close six and seven figure gifts
- Proven leadership and strategic thinking abilities in a complex fundraising environment
- Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and developing long-term philanthropic partnerships
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align resources effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups
