Production Operations Technician in Brazil

RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Operational Duties

Initiate, manage, oversee, and deactivate Process and Utility systems. Track, sustain, and enhance process metrics (Level, flow, temperature, pressure, etc.) within established operational limits. Ensure that sampling is performed and that results are addressed appropriately. Diagnose issues to optimize product quality and delivery volume, identifying potential problems. Maintain discharge water quality in accordance with current operational and local regulations. Supervise and operate electrical/hydraulic control panels, safety and emergency shutdown systems, as well as Fire and Gas Safety Systems. Guarantee accurate and timely production documentation and reporting is submitted daily or as required. Observe third-party calibrations when necessary to verify meter factors and volumes. Validate export oil meters.

2) Safety and Environmental Compliance

Implement O&M Contractor Management System policies and procedures, particularly Isolation Standards and Permit to Work (PTW). Conduct all operations in a safe and environmentally responsible manner. Immediately report all discharges, leaks, spills, injuries, and incidents. Ensure that vendor and subcontract personnel understand and adhere to current environmental regulations. Fulfill Emergency Response responsibilities.

3) Maintenance Support

Assist maintenance activities by applying or removing isolations as necessary. Operate under the PTW system, Toolbox Talks, and Risk Assessments. Advise maintenance teams on potential hazards related to plant and equipment. Maintain clear and effective communication during maintenance tasks.

4) Interpersonal Skills & Professional Fit

Oversee activities of vendor and subcontractor personnel. Establish and nurture effective working relationships. Foster a positive workplace culture.

REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated experience and/or qualifications equivalent to N/SVQ Hydrocarbon Processing Level 2 or similar from the country of origin. A minimum of 3 years of experience in hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities. Strong knowledge of Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Fire & Gas (F&G), and Distributed Control System (DCS) operations. Comprehensive understanding of Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards, and Risk Assessment procedures. Medically fit according to international offshore standards such as ENG1 or equivalent. Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, safety-focused, capable of assertive and constructive communication. Team Collaboration: Contributes effectively as a supportive team member. Demonstrates proactive measures to assist the team. Proficient in written and spoken English. Technical Expertise: Possesses a solid level of technical and professional knowledge as defined by competencies. Strong understanding of hydrocarbon processes, utilities, and control systems. IT Skills: Practical knowledge of standard office software and familiarity with internet and email systems.

Work Schedule: 14 days on, 14 days off
