Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and maintain a global mapping of customer presence in various markets for our products.
- Understand and articulate regional and country regulatory environments affecting our portfolio.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure harmonized account plans for up to 10 years.
- Support the creation of segment-specific marketing collateral, ensuring global consistency of message and using customer-centric language.
- Understand and articulate competitor activity in the market segment.
- Challenge market size and understanding in top 20 global markets.
- Identify current and future key customers and develop strategies to serve them.
- Design, develop, and drive business development strategies for defined product lines in the segment.
- Define a Strategic Business Development roadmap for the segment.
- Ensure a consistent sales process for global multi-site offers regarding our portfolio.
- Develop strategic pricing for products in cooperation with our product management team.
Operational Execution:
- Lead discussions with customers on portfolio development.
- Manage coordination on behalf of our company of global accounts across the portfolio.
- Develop the business through market research and early identification of project opportunities.
- Support marketing events and activities to promote our portfolio within the organization.
- Support managing customer relationships in strong coordination with our sales team.
- Coach the Value-Based Selling competence and train our sales teams.
Reporting and Market Intelligence:
- Update our market intelligence within the organization.
- Support our product management team by providing market feedback for associated product lines.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Engineering degree or business administration; master's degree is a plus.
- Experience in product marketing and sales, preferably with a background in our product portfolio: 10-year minimum.
- Strong experience in global business.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with customer specifications.
- Successful track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of the marketplace in which Hitachi Energy operates.
- Understanding of both demand and supply-side needs and dynamics.
- Intercultural sensitivity and ability to lead.
- Customer-oriented, applying advanced communication skills.
- Result-oriented for profitable growth.
- Experienced with strong customer, competitor, technical, and market knowledge.
- Fluent in English.
