Job Title: Senior Tax Accountant

Role Summary

The role of a Senior Tax Accountant is crucial in ensuring our financial studies meet tax compliance standards.

As a seasoned accounting professional, you will be responsible for reviewing completed studies for accuracy and compliance, collaborating with other accountants, and addressing tax considerations for our clients' projects.

With your expertise, we can ensure that our studies are built on accurate, detailed assessments of property construction from the initial groundwork to the finishing touches that lead to occupancy.

Are you experienced with accounting in the real estate field? This is an opportunity to leverage your skills and experience.

Knowledge of tax and cost segregation is a plus, but not required. Your understanding of construction and accelerated depreciation will be beneficial as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Review: Verify that all classifications comply with U.S. tax code and IRS Cost Seg Audit Guide.
  • Pre-Review: Assess client/property details before engineering begins to guide the project accurately.
  • Classification: Categorize and reconcile data provided by clients to properties.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with team members across departments to ensure smooth project progress and address any issues promptly.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Strong English skills for reading and interpreting IRS guidelines, preparing documentation, and team communication.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and consistency in execution.
  • Quick learner with technology and software.
  • Experience with Excel.
  • Proven ability to consistently produce high-quality work.
