Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Market Reporter to join our Latin American Crude Oil team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining rapport with key contacts, liaising regularly with industry stakeholders, and synthesizing complex information quickly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain rapport with key contacts and liaise regularly with industry stakeholders to gain market intelligence.
  • Work with and interview subject matter experts, research industry trends, and assess the worthiness of potential topics.
  • Assess commodity prices based on collected data, adhering to rigorous compliance standards.
  • Write market commentary, analysis pieces, and news stories adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Maintain existing databases and build new databases for designated products.
  • Develop new contacts and relationships within the marketplace.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is mandatory.
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, economics, business, or a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated goal-oriented collaboration skills, with strong diplomatic and problem-solving ability.
  • A basic understanding of economics.
  • A commitment to the highest level of accuracy and completing all writing within established deadlines.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Excel.
