About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Business Control Office team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our company continues to reinforce its principles across the organization and ensures that our first-line teams continue to be accountable and responsible for the risks taken.
The role requires very specific expertise in regulatory compliance, which is a complex and critical component of proper risk management. You will help drive the regulatory agenda in the first line with clear accountability and responsibility.
This is an IC position with a global scope, offering the opportunity to become a manager if you demonstrate how a team could help us become more efficient and compliant with increased support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understanding applicable regulations and explaining/translating the need to the business according to the BU realities:
- Reading regulations and understanding their implications for the business, mapping requirements through the existing regulatory tracking process.
- Providing assessment to the 1st line through the discovery of regulatory requirements.
- Helping the 1LoD to co-create and finalize e2e action plans to be compliant with applicable regulatory requirements, supporting Compliance 2LoD in monitoring implementation of requirements for new products/features and other regulatory requirements.
- Aligning possible dependencies with other BUs and helping with prioritizations exercise of different bets.
- Coordinating and supporting responses and data shared with regulators (BACEN, CVM, Banxico, SFC, etc.) and external/internal auditors on relevant subjects, for both reactive and proactive interactions.
- Supporting Compliance on planning and coordination of inspection when they happen.
- Empowering product teams with knowledge and tools needed, making compliance a competitive advantage in the innovation process, seamless under a targeted friction approach.
- Performing regulatory assessment proactively for NP&F, including creation and follow-up of action plans ahead of Defense assessments.
- Creating appropriate timely reports for the leadership team to understand the full spectrum of regulatory risks.
