Transformative Opportunity in Trade Credit

AIG is redefining the way we help customers manage risk, and we're seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Trade Credit operations in Brazil and Mexico. As the Brazil Head of Credit Lines & Trade Credit Manager, LAC, you'll be responsible for driving growth, developing strategies, and leading a local underwriting team to achieve exceptional results.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize Trade Credit operations in Brazil, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality service.
  • Support the launch of Trade Credit operations in Mexico, identifying opportunities for regional expansion and growth.
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies, producing and managing local portfolios that meet business objectives and adhere to underwriting standards.
  • Identify and establish alternative distribution partnerships with local and regional key players, enhancing business growth and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the Trade Credit organization, including Credit Officers, to integrate and align business plans and strategies.
  • Set and deliver financial and budgetary goals for the countries and region, ensuring alignment with AIG's overall objectives.
  • Lead, supervise, train, and develop the underwriting team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
  • Strong background in economics, actuarial science, accounting, or business administration, with several years of experience in banking and/or insurance, preferably in credit insurance.
  • Proven experience in financial and balance sheet analysis, with a strong understanding of corporate customers and banks.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly and precisely.
  • Strategic leadership skills, with a proven track record of driving results and leading effective teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
