Regulatory Specialist

This role is crucial for navigating the complex regulatory environment and supporting expansion and operations in Brazil.

As a Legal Manager, you will be part of multiple projects with the Brazilian team and provide legal advice to ensure the company operates within the legal framework of Brazil while minimizing risks and fostering compliance in corporate, fintech, AML, and payment-related activities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to corporate, fintech, payment systems, and commercial partnerships.
  • Oversee compliance with Brazilian laws, including AML (Anti-Money Laundering) regulations, fintech licensing, and payment systems frameworks.
  • Develop and implement internal policies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities such as the Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) and other relevant bodies.
  • Provide legal advice and risk assessment on corporate governance, licensing, and operational matters.
  • Monitor changes in Brazilian regulations impacting fintech and payments industries.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel and legal service providers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Law with active OAB.
  • Experience: Strong Experience in Legal Area.
  • In-depth knowledge of Brazilian fintech regulations, corporate law, and AML frameworks applicable to IP, crypto, and exchanges.
  • Experience in cross-border transactions and international compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in English and Portuguese (spoken and written).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with regulators, internal teams, and stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to legal and compliance challenges.
  • High ethical standards and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience with digital payment systems and cryptocurrency regulations is a plus.
  • Knowledge in Compliance.
