The pharmacy technician plays a crucial role in assisting pharmacists to develop extended clinical roles, such as independent prescribing. They ensure the security of prescription drugs and control of the pharmacy inventory.
- Must have completed a formal Pharmacy Technician training program leading to a diploma or an associate's degree.
- Two years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
- Participate in training, including HIPAA training
- Have and maintain current certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
- All healthcare providers must have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least 6 months out of the past year.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Document care delivered and follow-up care required.
- Attend meetings to improve quality and outcomes.
- Assist with managing day-to-day activities and prioritizing tasks.
- Operate personal computers to access email, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
- Comply with all applicable standards and guidelines.
- Maintain patient dignity and observe the precepts of the American Hospital Association's Bill of Rights.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Dispense prescription drugs and other healthcare products to patients.
Requirements:
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.
- DOD Secret security clearance.
- Current U.S. Passport.
- Proficient in speaking, writing, and communicating in English.
