
Advanced HVAC Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled professional to support our program with expertise in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Inspect and evaluate the condition of HVAC systems and components to identify necessary repairs and recommend or perform preventive maintenance.
- Clean, lubricate, and repack the working parts of the system to ensure optimal performance.
- Track the performance of routine and preventative maintenance to guarantee the availability of HVAC systems.
- Troubleshoot complex HVAC/R systems with extensive repair capabilities.
- Respond to service calls and conduct preventive maintenance inspections to ensure timely resolution.
- Generate reports through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) detailing malfunctioning or inoperable equipment.
- Diagnose causes of problems and failures in HVAC systems to identify equipment and system repair and replacement needs.
- Install, repair, and maintain large commercial and industrial ventilation, refrigeration, air conditioning (AC), and cooling systems.
- Perform recurring work on exhaust fans, boilers, air handlers, pumps, motors, air dryers, and other related HVAC equipment.
- Install, modify, overhaul, repair, and maintain complex HVAC equipment, including air conditioning, air handlers, pumps, motors, valves, heating systems, and associated auxiliary and control equipment.
- Collaborate with engineering or scientific personnel to discuss plans, modifications, and user needs.
- Review available plans, specifications, or drawings; determine the size, shape, and location of equipment.
- Design, modify, maintain, and repair critical environmental and energy support systems and associated highly sensitive state-of-the-art computerized controls and air quality monitoring systems located within US-Only areas of Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs).
- Produce classified technical documentation outlining in-depth technical findings and recommendations.
- Provide design, emergency non-routine fault isolation of smoke removal systems, fire detection/suppression equipment used exclusively in critical, highly sensitive Military Forces installations.
- Perform system and subsystem diagnostics, scheduling, and maintaining complex electronic environmental systems, calibration, and lubrication of unique components and controls that provide precise environmental conditions within SCIFs housing unique military intelligence equipment, scientific devices, and technologies.
- Deploy periodically worldwide to strategic and tactical mobile facility environments.
- Offer expert technical assistance for 24-hour operational environments with limited documentation resources.
- Respond to off-duty calls to support critical system outages and rapidly resolve environmental factors affecting ISR system performance, developing technical documentation for ISR support system layouts.
- Support US Army systems onsite whenever and wherever deployed.
- Available to deploy to other countries and/or theaters to perform quick reaction technical support to US forces worldwide military contingency missions and requirements in potentially hazardous work environments.
- Bachelor's degree and three years of experience or College, Vocational School, or High School diploma or equivalent and a combination of 10 years' education and experience with a valid Master HVAC license, or equivalent, at a State level.
- Specific experience in fault isolation and resolution of tactical and strategic environmental systems and their sophisticated electronic support systems.
- Ability to plan, install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems not fully covered by technical manuals, schematics, etc.
- Four years of experience with HVAC control and monitoring systems and their components.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Expert-level experience in design, installation, and sustainment of computer-controlled environmental systems in mobile secure facilities.
- Required to meet US Government accepted and industry standards criteria for technically complex computer environmental systems, uninterrupted power distribution systems, and power control equipment.
- Possess a North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certification.
- US Citizen. Active TS/SCI clearance REQUIRED.
