Job Title: Global Import Specialist

The primary duty of the Global Import Specialist is to oversee the processing of import transactions, including all related activities, for one or more major accounts. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a strong understanding of customs regulations and freight management systems.

The Global Import Specialist performs various duties, including:

  • Promoting a positive relationship with clients by providing excellent customer service and working closely with other departments and third parties.
  • Tracking and reviewing shipping status to ensure timely departure, arrival, and delivery of freight.
  • Processing data through our freight management system and obtaining necessary releases from government agencies.
  • Communicating with customs brokers and logistics providers to resolve any potential issues or delays.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in the freight forwarding industry or logistics field.
