Migrating a Data Lake from AWS to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a complex process that requires expertise in Python and data transfer between cloud providers. As a Data Migration Specialist, you will be responsible for managing access to buckets and objects, automating deployments, developing scripts for data transfer, migrating code from AWS to OCI, configuring Oracle Data Flow, performing SQL queries on the endpoint, and validating post-migration results.
This role involves working with Parquet and JSON data formats, using Oracle SDKs, optimizing Spark jobs at the code level, and having experience with technologies such as Object Storage, Data Flow, SQL Endpoint, Function, and Autonomous Data Warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Access Management: Manage access to buckets and objects on AWS and OCI.
- Automation: Automate deployments and develop scripts for data transfer between cloud providers.
- Data Transfer: Develop scripts for data transfer between AWS and OCI.
- Code Migration: Migrate code from AWS to OCI.
- Data Configuration: Configure Oracle Data Flow.
- Query Execution: Perform SQL queries on the endpoint.
- Result Validation: Validate post-migration results.
- Senior Python Developer: Experience in handling Parquet and JSON data formats.
