Freight Handler Part-Time Opportunity

As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling freight across the dock area. This includes loading and unloading trailers, using appropriate motorized and manual equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Freight handling is a physically demanding task that requires attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Perform freight handling tasks including loading and unloading trailers, securing freight inside trailers, and assisting customers with freight documentation.
- Verify freight documentation matches freight description to ensure accuracy and attention to detail.
- Count and perform basic math tasks as required by the job.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or fork lift operations preferred.
- Basic written and verbal communication skills.
- Dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, noise.
- Hours may vary due to operational need.
