Lead Quality Manufacturing Manager

We are looking for a seasoned Manufacturing Manager to lead and ensure quality in the production of our cosmetic products in third-party factories in Brazil.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contact, negotiate and align with 3rd party manufacturers, suppliers of raw materials and packaging, and other related service providers to guarantee product quality.
  • Coordinate collaborative work among involved parties, including 3rd party manufacturers, suppliers of raw materials and packaging, other related service providers, functional teams and coworkers.
  • Deliver products on time following the demand plan created by the sales team; make feasible plans and alignments with 3rd party manufacturers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
  • Act as the local counterpart for various functional teams (R&D, Supply Chain Management, Quality Assurance, etc.); support them in understanding local requirements, necessary investments, inevitable modifications from global formulation/product specifications, and any issues they may face in local production.
  • Contribute to reducing local production costs by actively seeking alternatives in related services within the cosmetic industry.
  • Predict risks and participate in contingency planning to flag, manage and/or communicate issues so that the Production Manager can support decision-making in management for the continuation of local production to support business goals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry and/or Project Management.
  • Full proficiency in English.
  • More than 04 years of experience in manufacturing cosmetic products with 3rd party manufacturers.
  • More than 02 years of experience in developing cosmetic products, including packaging.
  • Good knowledge and experience in the production of cosmetic products with 3rd party manufacturers.
  • General knowledge of packaging for cosmetic products, in terms of technology, materials, color calibration and compatibility with various formulations.
  • General knowledge of cosmetic formulations and raw materials, and of suppliers and service providers related to the production of cosmetic products.
  • General knowledge of cosmetic regulations.
