Job Title: Tech-Driven Support Specialist

This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of survivors of domestic abuse by providing expert support to a team at the forefront of technology-facilitated abuse protection.

  • Support the team in raising awareness about the growing threat of technology-facilitated domestic abuse, focusing on effective prevention strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Service to implement Refuge's tech strategy, ensuring the organization remains adaptable to evolving technological developments and their impact on victims.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage projects and partnerships, working closely with external stakeholders to achieve set outcomes.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of technology-facilitated abuse, including an understanding of various tech platforms, apps, devices, privacy considerations, and relevant legislation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations related to technology-facilitated abuse, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  • Apply thorough understanding of safeguarding principles in vulnerable adults and children contexts, relating to technology-facilitated abuse.
About the Role:

This role offers a real chance to make a difference for survivors of domestic abuse, working closely with a team that is at the forefront of protecting survivors from technology-facilitated abuse.

The post holder will have the opportunity to work on innovative projects addressing technology-facilitated abuse, contributing to the development of new strategies and approaches to address this complex issue.

The role requires public speaking at conferences, panels, and media requests, as well as travel. The post holder should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
