About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Game Engineer to join our Live Games Tech Team in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our largest live games, which are played by millions of people worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: You will lead the technical direction of new game projects and features, setting the overall software architecture and making key technical decisions.
  • Collaboration and Validation: You will work closely with the project tech lead to validate engineering projects and ensure they meet the required standards.
  • Software Design and Development: You will design, implement, and write tests for metagame business logic on the game app and services, including API development.
  • Project Planning and Management: You will estimate engineering tasks, plan roadmaps, releases, and sprints for the team, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality projects.
  • Communication and Stakeholder Management: You will provide transparent development status and risks to stakeholders, ensuring they are informed and aligned with project progress.
  • Process Improvement: You will identify and propose improvements to engineering processes, ensuring they are efficient and effective.
  • Technical Guidance and Mentorship: You will coach junior engineers, provide technical guidance, and establish a strong engineering culture within the team.
  • Release Management: You will oversee the release of new versions, supervise metrics, and user feedback after release, ensuring a smooth and successful deployment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of software development experience, with a strong background in large-scale systems and mobile gaming.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Skills: Experience with DevOps culture, creative problem-solving, effective communication, and autonomous decision-making.
