About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and passionate Staff Game Engineer to join our Live Games Tech Team in Brazil. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in the development of our largest live games, which are played by millions of people worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement the overall software architecture for new game projects and features
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to validate engineering projects and make technical decisions
  • Develop and maintain metagame business logic on game app and services, including API development
  • Estimate engineering-related tasks, plan roadmaps, releases, and sprints for the team
  • Provide timely transparency of development status and risks to interested parties
  • Proactively identify and propose improvements to processes and systems
  • Help solve challenging technical issues in the game, partnering with team members to resolve them
  • Coach junior engineers to achieve technical excellence in the project
  • Identify inefficiencies in the current engineering way of working and propose solutions
  • Establish and maintain a strong engineering culture, including code review, pair programming, architecture reviews, and automated testing
Requirements
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience handling large-scale systems (several million users)
  • Plus: experience in the gaming industry, preferably in mobile gaming
