Job Title: Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced structural engineer to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work on challenging projects, collaborate with experts in the field, and grow professionally.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in structural engineering, a strong background in civil engineering principles, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs and projects.

The selected candidate will assist with structural reviews, provide technical guidance to clients, and participate in structural design activities. They will also be responsible for reviewing structure submissions, preparing design computations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of structure submissions from project concept through project letting.
  • Provide support to clients as a subject matter expert in structural engineering, providing technical guidance.
  • Preparation of design computations, quantity estimates, and construction cost estimates.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver projects.
  • Analysis of field data, reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to plan and design projects.
  • Assistance in preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and designs for projects.
  • Use of computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
  • Assistance with business development activities by performing project research and field reconnaissance.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • PA PE preferred.
  • PennDOT (including PA counties) design experience preferred.
  • Prior oversight of design teams for County or State bridge projects.
  • Experience using CADD Software (MicroStation and/or AutoCAD).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work on multiple projects and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid Driver's License.
