Job Title: Financial Accountant

Overview:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and accounting operations. Your primary objective will be to ensure accurate and timely financial statements are prepared and presented to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS principles.
    • Monitor the general ledger and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Accounting Operations & Reconciliations:
    • Manage general ledger entries and reconciliations on a daily basis.
    • Oversee day-to-day accounting functions to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Internal Controls & Audit:
    • Attend internal and external audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Manage internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
  • Tax Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and systems.
    • Assist in implementing new accounting software or upgrades.
  • Ad-hoc Financial Analysis:
    • Prepare special reports and financial analysis as requested by senior management.
    • Provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero.
