About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Release Manager to join our team at SkySys. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for managing our regular release cycle, ensuring seamless deployment of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the release cycle, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of software applications.
  • Oversee the configuration of test and production environments, ensuring optimal performance and stability.
  • Provide regular release status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to release processes, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Product teams to address ad-hoc requirements and improve the release process.
  • Continuously monitor and improve the release process, addressing changes in technology and system complexity.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working with production software applications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work with Engineering team to solve technical problems.
  • Knowledge of ITIL and Agile methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience managing release cycles.
  • Previous experience managing iOS and Android app releases.
  • Previous experience managing multiple environment configurations.
  • Ability to work with command line interface and code editors.
  • Experience with CircleCI or similar CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with LaunchDarkly or similar feature flag management software.
  • Previous exposure to QA testing practices.
