Mount Alvernia Hospital is a leading healthcare provider with a reputation for delivering exceptional patient care. We are currently seeking an experienced Orthopaedic Theatre Lead to join our team at Mount Alvernia Hospital.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to lead our Orthopaedic Theatre Team. The successful candidate will have experience in perioperative care, strong leadership skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high-quality patient care during the perioperative phase of care
  • To lead and manage a team of theatre staff, coordinating training needs and resource requirements
  • To assist in the delivery of patient care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
  • To develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self
  • To apply and promote evidence-based practice within own scope of practice
  • To maintain knowledge of Health and Safety at Work Act and ensure appropriate measures are taken in respect of Health and Safety

Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary of £43,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits package including pension scheme, life assurance, and annual leave entitlement.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • HNC or equivalent qualification in Operating Department Practice (ODP)
  • HCPC registration
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays
