Telecommunications Network Specialist

Our organization seeks a seasoned Telecommunications Network Specialist to oversee and optimize our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), wireless LANs (WLANs) or software-defined WANs (SDWANs). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale network environments and data centers that support critical business operations.

  • The selected individual will be responsible for addressing, switches, routers, WiFi devices, AD, DNS, NPM, firewalls, CDNs, load balancers, and NFV. They will also support private networks and the Internet and assist in the adoption of monitoring and data collection tools.
  • Experience with configuration, troubleshooting, testing, and IMAC for access/border/core networks for Cisco/HP Family devices is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of L2/L3 switches and Router L3-L7 for access/edge/core, WLAN, and experience with firewalls Palo Alto, SASE, apply policies/rules/group membership/individual are key qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:

The Telecommunications Network Specialist is accountable for LAN, WAN, WLAN, or SDWAN networks, addressing, switches, routers, WiFi devices, AD, DNS, NPM, firewalls, CDNs, load balancers, and NFV. They will support private networks and the Internet and assist in the adoption of monitoring and data collection tools. Additionally, they will participate in complex network setups and support carrier trunking with the local network.

Qualifications:

  • English proficiency is required, along with strong communication skills.
  • Engineer or Technologist degree in systems or telecommunications, computer science, or a related field is necessary.
  • Experience in managing large-scale LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDWAN environments and data centers supporting critical business operations is crucial.
