We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Engineer to join our development team.

About the Role

This is a key position for someone with a strong foundation in computer science and a passion for creating high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop world-class features using Java technology;
  • Collaborate with experienced developers to design, build, and evolve complex software systems;
  • Write unit and functional tests as well as perform code reviews to ensure excellent code quality standards are met;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly;
  • Design and implement data processing pipelines that transform and normalize data from multiple sources.
Must-Haves:
  • 5+ years of experience building back-end systems using Java in production environments;
  • Proficiency with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Dependency Injection);
  • Deep knowledge of core data structures and algorithms, with the ability to analyze time/space complexity and solve real-world problems efficiently;
  • Practical experience applying these concepts in real-world systems and coding challenges;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on coding proficiency;
  • Exposure to unit testing with frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito;
  • Experience working with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB;
  • Knowledge of RESTFul APIs and version control using Git/GitHub;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • A strong sense of ownership and willingness to overcome challenges;
  • A passion for delivering high-quality user experiences;
  • A deep understanding of software engineering principles and best practices;
  • Background in data engineering or ETL/ELT processes;
  • Upper-intermediate English Level.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working with Python programming language;
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP and services like Kubernetes, BigQuery, Pub/Sub);
  • Experience with multi-tenant architecture, event-driven system, or message queues and design patterns;
  • You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable, and highly-performant code;
  • You have a proactive ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems;
  • You have experience working in Agile environments;
  • You have strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal effectiveness;
  • You have self-awareness and a desire to continually improve.
