This professional will oversee a portfolio of vendors for the procurement of shoes. The ideal candidate will have expertise in buying, account management, product management, project management, financial analysis, and marketing.
About this roleWe are seeking a seasoned vendor manager with business acumen and exceptional communication skills. The successful candidate will be able to effectively negotiate with vendors, drive pricing and promotion strategies, and manage inventory levels.
Key responsibilities- Analyze sub-category output metrics to make decisions regarding pricing, selection, and convenience
- Review results of promotions and adjust course of action as needed
- Audit all elements of sub-category business, perform deep dive analysis on problems, and make decisions based on data
- Act as escalation point to respond to vendor needs for sub-categories, identify and communicate trends
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects - prioritization, planning, and task delegation
- High threshold for working and thriving in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- MBA preferred
- Track record of results, setting strategy, and running a large volume and high-profile business
- Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, and promotion, inventory management, and product development
