Job Title: Commercial Fillings Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Filing Specialist to join our team. As a Commercial Filing Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, monitoring, and submitting all applicable commercial insurance regulatory filings.

This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, basic insurance knowledge, and the ability to work independently. You will also possess advanced or fluent English language skills and be able to update and maintain access records.

  • Collaborate with business partners to provide guidance, prepare, manage, and submit rates, forms, and rules filings specifically pertaining to commercial business.
  • Ensure adherence to State DOI rules, regulations, and timelines.
  • Assist with the composition, assembly, and submission of filing documents.
  • Draft filing-related materials, including checklists and certifications.
  • Communicate and partner with other functional departments, State DOI, and Legal to monitor filing progress and obtain necessary approvals for filing submission and final filing.
  • Make proper judgments around filing preparation and respond appropriately to objections.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for internal and external commercial filing processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in the field.
  • Advanced or Fluent English.
  • Update and maintain access records.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory filing rules and guidelines.
  • Retain correspondence with insurance departments necessary to obtain information, using proper judgment and discretion to determine filing strategy.
  • Verify and initiate the format of filing media to ensure compliance with state DOI regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain computer-based log providing filing status and electronic storage of filing documents.
  • Provide maintenance of regulatory filings, bulletins, assessments, and other regulatory matters.
  • Update and maintain applicable insurance manuals, filing guides, historic information relevant to products for filing, posting, and reference.
