Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of mechanical equipment during designated shifts, adhering to all relevant safety regulations.

  • Ensure economical operations and maintenance of the plant, complying with safety regulations.
  • Maintain machines and auxiliary equipment in good condition, identifying and correcting abnormalities.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor as required.
  • Coach and mentor other technicians and general labor.
  • Recondition engine components, overhaul engine components.
  • Isolate and prepare engines for stopping and starting, resolve possible flaws that occur during these processes.
  • Perform corrective inspections of mechanical and pneumatic equipment, supervise engines.
  • Reset alarmed equipment on plant panels, identify alarms and correct abnormalities in electric panels and equipment protection.
  • Assemble and disassemble lubricating oil and heavy oil separators, identify abnormalities and present solutions.
  • Start engines, synchronize them, and present immediate solutions for equipment protection in case of flaws.
  • Identify and locate sensors and transmitters of pressure and temperature, test them, and substitute if necessary.
  • Maintain machine tools, fixtures, cutting tools, and hand tools.
  • Perform sub-assembly work, report work progress.
  • Clean and keep working areas in order.
  • Propose spare parts orders, stock keeping, and inventory management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Complete Technical Course in Mechanics authorized by current legislation.
  • Active CREA/CFT (desirable).
  • Operation Management.
  • Customer understanding.
  • Engine knowledge.
  • Scheduled maintenance.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Technical drawings and flow charts.
  • Measurement equipment, Mechanical/Electrical.
